This application is designed to assist HVAC technicians, contractors, homeowners, HERS, and PHIUS raters with conducting ACCA Manual J8 load calculations. The HVAC ResLoad-J app developed by Carmel is an ACCA-approved Manual J8 residential load calculation tool for Apple iPad users. It facilitates engineers, contractors, and technicians in performing on-site cooling and heating load assessments for residential and small commercial buildings. The app enables users to generate PDF reports that can be shared with customers and local building authorities, meeting the standards of all municipalities/states, including those with legislation requiring load calculations from ACCA-approved software.

The HVAC ResLoad-J app allows users to manage multiple projects and analyze both block and room-by-room loads. Featuring weather data for numerous cities worldwide and construction data for various wall, floor, roof, ceiling, and window types, users can model detailed appliance, duct, infiltration, and ventilation loads.

Designed specifically for Apple iPad, the HVAC ResLoad-J app capitalizes on the device's larger screen, rotating user interface, and other unique functionalities. While similar to the popular HVAC Residential Load Calcs HD app, this ACCA-approved version demands a more thorough building analysis.
